Took you long enough!

But I'm glad that you're here.
Although it's a little weird that you're about to see inside my mind,
I welcome you to randomness and INNOVATION.

"D'Evils"

This dude clearly doesn't know that Jay-Z (American rapper) is masonic and santonic -- helping to bring in the New World Order. And for those who are reading this that don't know what I'm talking about, I suggest you to start educating yourself about the Illumnati secret society. I would have to make an entire blog dedicated to the Iluminati to educated you all... but I won't do that. Instead, I'll try to hint to you:

Boy Rekless

"Why don't you give me something worth writing about?" That's my blaring thought when I'm asked to take time out of the day to blog about somebody. This time, I'm embarrassed to say that I may have totally "fronted" on the rising superstars. Two unique and talented guys of the group Boy Rekless, J. Kay and J.D., have taken me from surprise and into the world of fresh music. Those of you whom look for a new and dexterous sound, look no furthur! They've delivered it to us (full force).

Below, I added Boy Rekless' new and innovative music video. I was pleased to see a positive message, and visual creativity boom before my eyes. This was, indeed, a must-share.

Chris Findley

This morning, right after my body awakened from a seven hour slumber (haphazard hair, tired eyes, and all), I held a stimulating conversation with a wise man. Although I'm two years his senior, he is someone that I look up to. He has the intellect and drive of a person that you'd find behind a CEO's office desk. So, proudly, I'd like to introduce to you, someone who has motivated me a bit more to accomplish my goals. You may have heard of him before, or you may even know him personally, but I'd like to co-sign your thoughts on his cool-appeal and business-mentality.

Meet the man that inspires me.

F.I.N.A.L.S

I can't fully vouch for Young Ivy when he raps "Fuck! I never actually learned shit!" (which is, actually, a really clever abbreviation for the word finals) but I can related to the frustration in this awesomeness of a video; for college and I have a love/hate relationship.

Evolution?

Photo Claire Sunquist ©

I personally don't believe in Darwin's theory of evolution-- although it is a clever supposition-- but, when I see a fish with human teeth, I'm almost certain that all species in the world are more connected to each other than I'd like to believe.

Familiarize yourself with the Sheepshead fish.

MIND NUMBING

My grandmother introduced me to the piano at the tender age of 5. I continued to take lessons for the next thirteen years, with abhorrence and reluctance; my grandmother had always tried to drill into my head the significance of learning an instrument, but I never cared for her reasoning. RONALD JENKEES brings me feelings of remorse as I watch his fingers scurry across the white and black keys on the keyboard. Now, I'm almost embarrassed to sit at my Yamaha piano and read/play the classical sheets of music. My years of practice of Moonlight Sontana is nothing compared to Jeekees' work...

My secret football obsession.

The fixation started some odd years back-- that is all you need to know. The question is, do I really want to watch the Giants and Chargers compete today? I love both teams; it is inevitable that my heart will break today.

Maybe, I wont watch it...

--------------------hours later,

I watched it.
Chargers won.
I'm happy.

Nina, NOT Chakrabarti!

It's only right that you know your blogger

Who doesn't love a classic?

There is nothing more attractive than a baby-faced guy with a demeanor that demands respect; Mike Classic fits the description. There's a beast behind Classic's handsome hazel eyes, and if these rappers are not careful he might just bite someone's ego.

When the Queens, NY, rapper hit me up with a song called "Intoxicated" I felt like I was in the middle of a dance floor with a champagne flute raised to the sky. After that, it was only right that I checked out more of his music, and in doing so I found more 'dopeness'. Fortunately, I'm able to share with you the song that changed my view about this pretty boy, and I'm sure it will for you.

THE BAD NEWS IS GREAT

His stage name is Badnooz Boogz. A rapper from Bronx, NY, that preaches positivity and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the game. Like most underground artist I've come to know, I met the handsome Boogz by chance. In fact, I had no idea that he produced music when we met. Boogz was a man of confidence and intelligence, so when he hit me with a song titled "The Devil Is a Liar", I was shocked. Surprisingly, his music proved to be far and above average, contrast to what we hear on our radio stations today. I have no doubt that you will love his creations. After I heard one song, I needed to hear another, and another, and another. It's almost like that Pringle commercial; one is NEVER enough.

I guess that is why I provided you all with three of my favorite Badnooz Boogz tracks. So fellas, be aware: Boogz is more than capable of taking the title to your throne (and your girl).

Ohh Gawd - Badnooz Boogz

LOVE IN THE BLOG

If you have not realized it yet, I have a super radar for talent; I meet music artists from the weirdest places by coincidence and I love it!

Today, at random, I briefly exchanged nouns and vowels with a new acquaintance and rising artist. The underground Hip Hop musician goes by the name of Young Future. And ladies, I must say, he's an eye catcher as much as he's musically captivating.

With permission from the artist, I bring you a song that I ADORE titled "Love In The Sky"

My VMAs overview =

A HOT MESS between Kanye's utter intrusion, Lady GooGoo's fashion sense, and all other craziness. Luckily the Carter-couple (Jay-Z and Beyonce) saved the show with amazing performances.

Literally...

Here's an interesting story that leads to this ... whatever it is:
About two weeks ago, one evening I decided to work-out. I am absolutely no stranger to exercise but, somehow during 45 minutes of focusing on strengthening my legs, something went wrong. PAIN accompanied me for the next few days; walking was bothersome, sitting and standing was painful and the list goes on. So one night, I decided that some time spent immersed in my bath-tub would be of some use for my aches. My iPod Nano accompanied me, soothing me with melodies from artists like Floetry, Pledge and Lauryn Hill. I had reached Nirvana, UNTIL suddenly my iPod invaded the waters. Yes! It feel into the tub with me! Now, the screen is nearly black, I can't add or delete songs, and I believe the battery is destroyed.

LUCKILY a few days later, while ordering a new Mac laptop I went ahead and threw a brand new iPod towards the purchase (whew). Today I decided that I wanted to look at special cases they have for iPods (for obvious reasons. I surely do not want to ruin my next musical gadget). When I ran across CONTEXTURE.CA's 45 Nano Cases - which is literally 45 Nano cases made from real cassette tapes - I knew I had to share the coolness.

I'm A Believer!

Tonight has finitely changed my view of Hip Hop for the rest of my life.

Before tonight, my respect for the music genre was questionable. Yes, I have always been a listener of Hip Hop; however, there has always been an imaginary boundary of how serious I took it. The language has always been a turn-off: exploiting women, offensive racial terms and the level of crime that seemed to be constant in the lyrics. Yet, I have always found myself bopping my head to the bass-y melodies, or memorizing its urban lyrics. Deep down, I've always love Hip Hop.

Tonight will forever be remembered in the world of this genre. It took one man, and a hand full of other contributors to change the course of Hip Hop as we know it. That man is rapper Jay-Z.

Tonight, as the mid-age performer conquered the stage, captivating his audience which includes homes all over the United States, I was made a believer that Hip Hop is alive!

[Buy Jay-Z's lastest album (or a few songs you like best). Available on itunes now!]

Reason #1 for my desire to be wealthy:

SHOPPING!

Did I just sound like a typical twenty-year-old-fashion-addicted female? Well, don't blame me. Blame OakNYC.com, UrbanOutfitters.com, NeedSupply.com, and 80sPurple.com

These are the sites that I browse day after day; buying when I can (which isn't often); a fixed fascination.

Chris Brown leaks song

I do have twitter. I don't like the idea of following celebrities because I guess have this ego thing. But there are two people that caught my interest enough to bring down my egotistical barriers, then allowing me to FOLLOW. Chris Brown is one of them.

Looking pass the flaws he has displayed in recent times, I respect him as an artist. I'm very excited to share this song with you, because I believe his gift as an artist is too major for anything to keep him down and I'm glad to see him progressing as an individual.

Miami has way more good than Cuban food!

This morning I was on the phone with a good friend of mine, sharing a wonderful idea for our 22nd birthday party (our birthdays are literally a day apart). My focus was, of course, on location. Hers - on fashion. So, I threw her a ball of an idea; a suit-like party outfit that I thought would be chic and classy. So later on, I overheard that John David's collection was finally ready for viewing on the internet! I couldn't believe my EYES! Not only is the collection impeccable, I found the perfect birthday outfit for my dear friend.

It may be a year away from my next birthday but I quote "the clothes are ... timeless ..." - John Schoemann.

A Five Year Old Fixation

I can write a long and drawn-out fan-based post about the legendary Drake, but I feel that the title of this post and picture explains where I stand as a Drake fan. The words you see at the bottom are just FEW songs I enjoy listening to everyday.

"Bosses Wear Horses"

I hear the phrase "bosses wear horses" all the time. Using street-sense, I know that in the Hip Hop world the term "horses" is symbolic to the popular fashion brand Ralph Lauren (who uses the image of the polo sport for a logo). So when I ran across these earrings the other day on the UrbanOutfitters.com website, I just knew I had to share it. It may not be Ralph Lauren, but ladies, these stud earrings are perfect to pair with any boss-like urban outfit.

"a-OK" Art

I have always found visual art to be a complex, only because I was never the type to see what others saw. So I'm a bit surprised at how well I've embraced this artist's vision. It's down-right brilliant!

Her name is Keetra Dean Dixon. I overheard Keetra's name recently, and after a little googling, I realized she's the artist who created the Anonymous Hugging Wall (which is basically a huge red bed-sheet created with arm-gloves in the center, so strangers could be hugged by another stranger -- a very mood elevating idea). Although I have never read an interview or spoken to her personally, there is no doubt that positive inspiration influences Keetra's art.

Meet Nicholas Kirkwood

It is told that the first person to create the "heel" of a shoe is a man. If this is true, Nicholas Kirkwood must have that shoe maker's heirloom. lol

Most woman couldn't fathom taking on a job such as creating shoes, but somehow we are so fascinated with the end results that we'll spend hundreds of dollars on Manolo Blahniks and survive off cracker and cheese for the rest of the week.

And ladies, may I say ... this rising star's shoes are fully capable of turning [such] a woman anorexic.
